“Volcano Girl”- Meet the cast!
January 29th, 2011Hey nerds! So they’re doing test shooting for the “Volcano Girl” movie this weekend on a soundstage. Principal photography begins next week. I’ll be visiting set (translation: to eat their snacks) but I wanted to share with you some of the cast. Now, I don’t really have anything to do with the casting (that’s the director‘s job) but I know she’s definitely going to get the right person for the role. I’ve actually worked with Sara Lynn Wright (Lucy) in a short I directed and am ecstatic about that choice. Likewise, Ashley and I saw Matthew Scott Montgomery (Gil) in a play a few months ago and he’s great too. I have no doubt the rest of the cast will be excellent as well- I’m really excited to see them in action over the next few weeks.
(oh, and since I’m not really involved in this process I still don’t know who they’ve cast as Keith, Jenny or Niagara– assuming the Niagara cameo is still happening!)

Bonnie Kathleen Ryan as Virginia Patterson/Volcano Girl.

Burl Moseley as Radian. (He’s the villain I created for this movie. Should be a lot of fun!).
Kim Estes as NSA Director Sidney Salis.
Matthew Scott Montgomery as Gil Creegan.
