"Becca's Box": 1 nomination, 0 win

December 14th, 2009

“Becca’s Box” played Saturday at the University of Southern California. Response was better than I had hoped for. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the movie– and all the other awesome second semester movies.

There were also two legendary parties Saturday night and Sunday night. Awards (which were generally silly) were given out Sunday night– “Becca’s Box” was nominated for “most quotable,” but lost to the far-more-quotable “Closed Doors” by my classmate and friend Josh Tate. “Solo,” which I did cinematography on, took home an award for best outsourced sequence (or something to that extent) for a “flight through the universe” opening. No, I didn’t actually shoot in space.

I’ll be in DC between Christmas and New Years with “Becca’s Box” for those that want to check it out. I’m also going to start entering it into some film festivals, so keep checking back for more info on which shitty theater you’ll be able to see my shitty movie in.
