About Josh
Welcome to my Web site! I’m super-excited you’re here.
I’m Josh. Some of my cartoons and writings have won awards, but what really matters is that when I was a kid I was a card-carrying member of the Back to the Future Fan Club.
I occasionally freelanced for various publications, including the Washington City Paper and MAD Magazine. I used to write a weekly pop-culture column for a small newspaper (most of which can be found here). Hey, here’s what the Virginia Press Association said about me:
“Josh Eiserike has a fine command of popular culture and an engaging ability to write in a way that connects with readers of all ages.”
Or as I like to put it, “Nerd, nerd, nerd.”
But I’ve quit newspapers and am now learning how to make movies at Hogwarts. I wish I could post my movies here, but I’m not allowed. Sorry!
If you’ve known me for some time you probably know I’ve got two slow-burn projects: First, a musical I’ve written with longtime friend Matt Dingels. Everything is pretty much done, other than, you know, actually producing it. We’ve got music and a script. Anyone got some cash?
Second, Zac Crockett is hard at work on a graphic novel that I wrote, titled “Anyone But Virginia.” You can read it here, I update pages every Saturday, for now. You can also order minicomics at the store and a big 115+ page book will be out… sometime. I’m also finishing up drawing the third issue of a comic book mini-series, titled “Assholes” with Mitch. You can buy the first issue or just read it online here. Issue 3 should be out by the end of 2009. It’s really funny.
Oh, and be sure to join the official Assholes Facebook group and my awesome Facebook group while you’re at it.
As for the rest of this site, I’ve got pretty much of my old University of Maryland “Liberal Crap” strips archived here, along with my short lived Web comic, “Anna and Pat,” that I did with my insanely talented cousin, Andrew Kudlick (he promises we’ll get back to it some day). There’s also the entire comic book “Class of ‘99” which people seem to like, assorted editorial cartoons and other odds and ends.
Thanks!!!
